Most of the old animal glue had perished due to damp conditions, the caddy was stripped down and the missing components replaced.

After: tea caddy rebuilt using fresh hide glue.

The French polish of this elegant 19th century card table was perished and the wood bleached by strong sunlight.

The sun damaged table after some careful staining and repolishing.

Copying an 18th century walnut chair to make up a set of eight. The basic frame was made while the timber was still square, the flowing lines of the uprights and rails were marked with templates and cut out later on.
